The line graph illustrates the average daily consumption of electricity in england during both summer and winter. The pie chart gives information about the proportions of four common usages of electricity.
Overall, the demand for electricity during the winter is significantly higher than that in summer, while the highest consumption in both seasons was recorded during the night. Moreover, heating seems to be the major use of electricity in england.
According to the graph, the lowest consumption during the summer as well as the winter was between the hours 6 am and 9 am, it accounted for around 15000 and 30000 units respectively. during the summer, the consumption has reached to approximately 20000 units at 13:30 and at around 23:00. In contrast, during the winter, england's citizens used around double of the amount that was used in the summer. The most popular hour was slightly after 21:00 o'clock when consumption peaked at nearly 50000 units.
With regards to electricity usages, more than half of the total amount (precisely 52%) used it for heating purposes of both room and water. In addition, ovens, kettles and washing machines accounted for 18% of general amount. The rest 30% were divided equally between lighting, TV and radio and vacuum cleaners, food mixers and electric tools.
