The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line chart gives information about the requirements sent to the Tourist Information Office in a particular city from January to June 2011.
In general, it can be seen that visitors going to the city made more inquiries in person and by letter or email, while telephones had a downward trend. The figure for inquiring in person had dramatically changed.
In January, telephone requests accounted for the highest numbers, at 900 inquiries, while the number of requests in person sent to the Tourist Information Office was twice as much as via letter or email. Over the next three months, the telephone remained the most common method, with 1000 inquiries. In addition, the number of sending in-person requests significantly increased and surpassed the figure for email and postal requirements.
From March to April, the number of people sending inquiries in person surpassed by telephone before hitting its peak at 1900 inquiries. After that, the period also recorded a significant rise to 1,600 in the figure for telephones. The number of senders through letter and email sharply decreased by nearly 400 inquiries in June.
