The graph below shows the number of enquiries received by the Tourist Information Office in one city over a six-month period in 2011.
The line graph compares the number of requests given to the Tourist Information Office in one city over a period of six months in 2011.
Overall, the number of inquiries in person and via telephone increased steadily, while the figure for inquiries by letter or email showed the opposite trend.
It can be easily seen that the office received the fewest inquiries in person in January. In-person inquiries experienced two periods of rising: the first rose slightly to 800 in March, and the second increased at a faster pace by adding 1000 in the next three months and ranking first. Telephone was the most popular method in January, with nearly 900 inquiries. After a slight drop, the figure bounced back to 1000 and increased to 1600, which ranked second in June.
By contrast, there was a downward trend in the number of requests that were made via letter or email, as the figure declined slightly from nearly 800 to 700 inquiries, plummeted to the lowest point over the period shown at under 400, and remained unchanged between May and June
