The given line graph illustrates the number of books read by boys and girls at Starmouth School’s library from 2006 to now.
As is presented in the graph, the number of books that were read by boys was 50 in 2009.From 2009 to 2010, there was an improvement of 30 books.The next one-year period witnessed a slight growth in the number of books, from 80 to 100.After 2011,there was a different trend,the books that the boys read dropped by 20.
As can be seen in the graph, the girls read about 22 books in 2009.There was a gradual climb from 2009 to 2010.It increased by about 18 books.But in the next one-year period, there was a dramatic rise,from 40 to 100.After that,the trend kept going up.Until 2012, the number of books that were read by girls hit 140 books.
Overall, from 2009 to 2011,both trends were upward.At the end of the period, the girls read more books although, boys started off reading more books than girls.
