The line graph illustrates the different rate of three areas in a European country visited by foreigners in the period from 1987 to 2007.
Generally, there is an unstable trend in the number of visitors coming to all areas. The proportion of oversea visitors interesting in both the coast and the mountains tended to go up while that of the lakes declined considerably since 2004.
In 1987, the number of visitors to the coast accounted for the highest position at 40 thousand while the lakes' hit the lowest point with just 10 thousand. The second position belonged to the mountains.
However, after 1987, the number of visitors to lakes witnessed a significant soar and reached a peak of about 75 thousand in 2004 that climbed approximately sevenfold. After that, this figure dropped drastically to 50 thousand in 2007. By contrast, both areas of the coast and the lakes remained a stable rise of the number of the overseas visitors.
