In 1987, starting at 40.000, the coast attracted the highest number of people, which was 4 times higher than that of the lakes. From 1987 to 1992, while there was a slight decrease in the quantity of travelers to the coast, the opposite trend was for the lakes. From 1992 onwards, the coast witnessed a dramatic rise to about 75 thousand in 2007 and became the most favorite destination of the foreign visitors. On the contrary, after enormous jump and reaching the peak at about 75 thousand visitors, the lakes experienced a steeply drop to 50 thousand in 2007.
With reference to the mountains, in 1987 the mountain ranked the second after the coast in the number of foreign travelers with 20 thousand. Over the period of 20 years, there was a considerable fluctuation in this figure. In the final year, It lost its favor and became the least favorite destination of people.
