Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The given graph depicts the number of tourists to the lakes, mountains and coastal areas of a particular European nation over a 20 year period which spans from 1987 to 2007.

Overall, we can appreciate clearly growing figures in the population of foreigners choosing these places as their holiday destination.

As we can see, the lakes were wildly popular from 1987 to 2002, reaching an astonishing number of over 70 thousand at it's fever pitch. They still remain appealing to the crowd, attracting around 50 thousand in 2007.

The sunny blue coastlines start out on a slight downtrend but then they gain a lot of notoriety 1992 onwards, subsequently becoming the top destination in 2007 with over 70 thousand individuals choosing to visit there.

The heights of the mountains observe a modest upwards trends in the 20 year period, gaining traction amongst the tourists after a stale period in the 90's with over 30 thousand visiting in 2007.
