The line chart provides information on the number of store closures and recent store openings in a country from 2011 to 2018. Overall, it can be seen that the number of store closures and openings goods decrease at the end of a certain period of time. In addition, both types tend to fluctuate.
In 2011, nearly 9,000 stores opened, while nearly 6,500 stores closed before gradually increasing and peaking in 2013. The number of new store openings and closings was roughly the same in the following year, around 6700 and 6800 respectively. By 2015, the latter had dropped below 1000, then dropped sharply in 2016.
There was a trend in reverse in the closing and opening numbers at the end of the three-year period. While the end of the store tilt was in 2018, there was a decline in terms of stores.
