The given line graph below shows the number of tourists who visited an island in the Caribbean from 2010 to 2017.
It can be clearly seen that the main trend is a fluctuation in the first three years and then a steady rise in the remainder of the time between the number of visitors who stayed on the cruise ship and those who chose to stayed on island. Besides that, the total amount of tourists rose steadily throughout the length of time.
Now turning to the details. In 2010, there are 250.000 tourists that stayed on their ships, and the rest (750000 visitors) stayed on island, in the total of 1 million visitors. In the next 2 years, while the number of people who stayed on island remained unchanged in 2011, and then a sharp rose in the year of 2012 with over fourth fifth of total. On the other hand, in the period of 2011- 2013 the number of people stayed on ships had fluctuated, from 250000 to 500000 and back to 250000 people. Between 2013 and 2015, the total number of tourists have almost double up, from 2 million to 2.75 million. The data of tourists who stayed on island remain the same in that three years, at 1.5 million tourists, while the number of visitors that were staying on cruise ship have gradually increase to 1,25 million tourists in 2015. In the following year, the total number of tourist stayed the same, which is 2 and three fourths millions of visitors. The amount of tourists that stayed on cruise ship surged to one and a half million in the year of 2016. On the contrary, the number of tourists that were staying on island dropped 250 thousand people, with the remaining of 1.75 million tourists. In the final year of the graph, 2 million tourists were staying on their ships and 1.5 million tourists were staying on island, in total of 3.5 million visitors.
In summary, the total number have an upward trend, while two other statics have oscillations in numbers in the years between 2010 and 2017.
