The provided line graph below sketches out how many travellers pay a visit to a particular Caribbean island during the period from 2010 to 2017.
Overall, there was an upward trend in the total number of visitors coming to Caribbean, which was the consequence of the rise in the people staying on different destinations: cruise ships and island.
It can be seen from the chart that individuals staying on cruise ships started at merely 0.25 millions in the first year, after which it rose slightly to 0.5 millions in 2011 before falling to the initial figure in 2012. From 2012 onwards, travellers visiting Caribbean staying on cruise ships rocketed from approximately 0.25 millions to 2 millions in 2017.
On the contrary, the number of visitors to Caribbean island and stay here leveled out during the first 2 years, at 0.75 millions. This figure continued to grow gradually until it reach a peak at 1.5 millions and then remained unchanged from 2013 to 2015. Meanwhile, visitors staying on island was higher than that staying on cruise ships during the period of 2010 and 2015, but in 2016, this data is surpassed by its counterpart.
