The line graph illustrates the number of people in urban areas in four specific countries namely: USA, Korean, China and India from 1970 to 2030.
Overall, it is clear that the proportion of population in the USA was the highest throughout the period shown. In addition, the figures for other three countries also increase over 60 years.
In 1970, the figure of population in city in the USA was highest at 70%, while the rate of population in Korean was significantly lower, at 40%. Meanwhile, only 20% of people who accomodated in cities in China and India. In 2000, the percentage of population in Korean and America rose gradually to approximately 85%. Moreover, the data of people who lived in urban areas in China and India increased to 32% and 50%, respectively.
In 2030, it is predicted that the proportion for the USA and Korea will reach nearly 100% and become the highest compared to other countries. The population in cities in China is expected to rise to just under 60%. In contrast, the figure of population in India will remain stable in the same period.
