In 2000, the China population was 1.25 billion and about 0.25 billion higher than the India population which was 1 billion. India population has increased 0.3 billion between 2000 and the present. China’s population has increased 0.2 billion to reach more than 1.4 billion.
It shows clearly that the population in India will rise more quickly than in China, and it predicts that the two will reach at the same number of population of 1.45 billion by 2030. Subsequently, China's population decreases slightly to 1.4 billion in 2050. In contrast, India's population will increase quickly and reach 1.6 billion.
Consequently, India’s population is going to have a steady growth with the result is leaving China behind. On the other hand, China’s population will reach the highest in 2030 and start to fall.
