At a glance, it can be seen that the population of India grow remarkably whereas the figure for China witnesses a fluctuation.
Taking a closer look at the data, in the first year of the period shown, India had 1 billion people, 0.3 billion lower when comparing with the figure for China. An upward trend was seen in both 2 nations in the next 20 years. As a result, the population of India and China increased to about 1.3 and 1.4 billion respectively in 2020.
In terms of the estimated number in the future, the year 2030 will mark the similar number of people in China and India , standing at approximately 1.45 billion. Afterward, the statistic for India will continue to rise steadily and will reach a peak of 1.6 billion people in 2050. By contrast, there will be a slight decline to 1.4 billion dwellers in China in the last period.
