The line graph illustrates that how many people were there in India and China from 2000 to 2020 together with projected to the year 2050.

India, one of the most populated countries in the world, seeing a stable growing trend in its population. It started at 1000 billion people in 2000 and is predicted to reach 1600 billion people in 2050, increasing by almost 60%.

On the other hand, however, there is a fluctuated trend of population experienced in China during the five decades. The number of people in China was 1250 billions in 2000, substantially larger than the number of population in India. After achieving its peak in year 2030 with the projected number of 1450 billion people, sharing the same number of people with India, a slight decrease will occur and the final population will be ended at 1400 billions in 2050, smaller than that of India.

Overall, the projection is that even though China still owns the largest population among all the countries, the number of Indians will outnumber Chinese in a certain point of time.
