The line graph illustrates the price of bananas in four different nations named Japan, France, Germany, and the USA from 1994 to 2004.
In general, it is clear that the price of bananas in Japan and the USA saw ascending trends while the opposite was the case for the others.
At the start of the period, the prices of bananas in Japan were in the first rank at approximately 2 USD/kg. The data for France and Germany was 1.75 USD/kg and just nearly 1.50 USD/kg, respectively. The figure for the USA was the lowest at 0.75 USD/kg.
Afterward, the cost of bananas increased significantly from just nearly 200 USD/kg to 3.80 USD/kg in 1995, before heating a bottom at just over 1.5 USD/kg in 2001, and it grew dramatically to reach 2.5 USD/kg in 2004. Similarly, there was a steady rise in the cost of bananas in the USA between 0.75 USD in 1994 and just above 1 USD/kg in the year 2004. In contrast, the cost in France and Germany witnessed a decrease at 1.5 USD and 1.25 USD/kg in the final year 2004, respectively.
