The given line chart illustrates some information about the fluctuation of sales prices of imported bananas to 4 countries from different continents from 1996 to 2004.
Looking from an overall perspective, it is readily apparent that, notwithstanding the various changes in their prices during the given time, the final prices in 2004 remained at their initial prices from the beginning point of this survey.
In 1996, the minimum price of bananas related to the USA was 1 USD per kilogram and the maximum price linked to both Japan and France by 2 USD and Germany by 1.5 USD was the middle price.
During these years the price of bananas in Japan dramatically increased to 3 USD in 1998 and after that continuously decreased and increased for several times, however, at the end of this period it reached 2 USD.
The French figure experienced a completely different trend from Japan. After about 2 years of a plateau in its price, it started to diminish to 1.5 USD and finally it arrived at its start point.
German unlike a Sharp augmentation in its price in 1998, it continuously grew and stopped a bit above from its primordial price for about 1.7 USD.
The last line depicts the price situation of the USA. The price of bananas during these years had not significant changes and the prices were being stable.
