Given is the line graph comparing four different sectors in the UK, in terms of the total amount of acid rain emission between 1990 and 2007.

In 1990, the largest amount of acid rain gas came from the electricity, gas and water supply sector, producing around 3,3 million tonnes in comparison with the figure of above 2 million tonnes of other industries. The figure for domestic sector and transport and communication sector was nearly the same, at 0,6 and 0,7 million tonnes respectively.
The amount of acid rain gas produced in electricity, gas and water supply sector decline dramatically in the following years. After sharing the same figure with transport sector in 2003, electricity, gas and water supply sector was eventually responsible for 0,5 million tonnes, while the other sector shared a higher figure and peaked at 1 million tonnes in 2005. Both other industries sector and domestic sector fell gradually, and the amount of acid rain emission of domestic sector was always the lowest compared to other three sectors.
