The graph gives information about the consumption of fast food (in grams per week), in the UK from 1970 to 1990.

The line chart depicts three types of fast food items(Hamburgers, Pizza, fish & chips) consumed by the population of UK over a period of two decades, from 1970 to 1990. The units are measured in grams per week.

Overall, Hamburger and Fish & Chips observed a sharp increase in consumption wherein hamburger ended up as the highest consumed fast food item among the three. In contrast, Pizza remained almost steady during the 20 years.

It is seen from the line graph that both Hamburger and Fish & Chips started with a very humble amount of less than 100 grams per week and rose steadily over the next decade amounting to around 90 for hamburgers and 150 for Chips & Fish. Thereafter, Fish & chips had a very sharp increase and almost doubled to 300 in 1985. Comparatively, Hamburgers rose to only 120 in the same year. In the year 1970, Fish & Chips went on to become the highest consumed fast food by reaching a value to 400 grams per week whereas Hamburgers even with their steady increase could only manage to reach somewhere less than 300.

The figure also shows how Pizza started out as the most favorite fast food in 1970 with the consumption value of 300 grams per week but slowly and steadily declined to 200 grams per week in 1985. In the year 1990, it however did show a slight increase by reaching to 210 grams per week.
