The graphs below provide information on global population figures and figures for urban populations in different world regions.Summarize the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant

The line graph illustrates the global population's changes in the time span between 1800 and 2100. Furthermore, information is also elaborated in a pie chart, which provides data about urban population both in developed and developing regions in the world.

Overall, it is clear from the graph that the number of inhabitants of the entire planet had grown from the past until the present so that in 2040 the global population is expected to reach a huge maximum. Evidently, looking at the bar chart such increase is due to growth in population of developing regions rather than developed ones which show to be constant from 2015 to 2040.

In 1800, the world was populated by 1000,000,000 of people, a figure which rose one hundred and fifty years later at nearly 2500,000,0000 with a moderate trend. From this year, population has considerably grown and climbed at almost 7.5 billion in 2015. Furthermore, the steep trend is expected to continued in the following 25 years and this is due the evident increase in the amount of inhabitants in developing regions. In fact, it can be seen from the chart that in 2015 just above 2 billion of people populated developing regions and this figure is forecast to be pretty much the double in 2040 when the whole world population will reach the maximum of 8000,0000,0000 inhabitants. On the contrary, developed regions are not expected to contribute significantly to this growth since they are forecast to be steady at approximately 1200 million of people.

Once got the maximum by 2040, the world population is forecast to decrease so that in 2100 just above 6 billion of people will populate the planet.
