The diagram illustrates the data given by the Statistics Office of an application called Duolingo, published in July 2020. Specifically, the figures stated the countries with a wide-reaching number of users, calculated the percentage in three platforms applying by users, and some popular languages that are cultivated in this application.
In fact, Duolingo is being used by 10 million people all over the world. Accordingly, a very large number numbers of learners are from 6 countries, nominated the USA, Brazil, Mexico, France, UK, and Italy. In July 2020, the rate of the USA was reached its peak among the 6 countries, with 25.8%, equivalent to 2.6 million users. Nevertheless, the bottom two rates of users are owned by the UK and Italy, make up 5.2% and 5.1%, corresponding to 520.000 and 510.000 users sequentially.
Following this, the diagram shows the rate of users according to the three technological platforms that they used. As can be seen, IOS devices are the most preferred platform among the users when downloading an app, taking up 39%, followed by Android devices, lower by just 1%, and on the website with 23% in total.
The final segment of the diagram revealed some most concerned languages on Duolingo by users time and again. Understandably, the majority of users plump for English, reached a record high with 44.5%. Likewise, users come down in favor of Spanish, French, and German, at 23.9%, 13.6%, and 8.7% respectively. Ultimately, a small group shows to have taken interest in studying Italian, as well as, Portuguese, account for 5.7% and 3.6% in sequence.
