The line graph depicts data on the percentages of moviegoers in four different age groups in the United States.
Overall, four different age groups all had an upward trend. It is clear that the 15–24 age group had the highest rate of going to the cinema.
Looking at the line graph, we can see that from 2006 to 2008, people between the ages of 15 and 24 fluctuated between 40% and 50%, after starting at 15%. Then, this number peaked at 52% in the final years. In contrast, people aged 35 and over were by far the least popular moviegoers. This moderately grew from 0% to 13% at the end of the period.
There was a dramatic increase in the percentages of the remaining two groups from 2000 to 2010, with the percentage of movie guests 7 to 14 reaching a peak of approximately 37%. During the same period, guests aged 25 to 35 markedly rose to 32%, after declining to 17% in 2008. However, by the beginning of 2011, two groups were in the same position at 30%.
