The graph illustrates the changes in the consumption pattern of Australian teenagers for three kinds of fast foods over the period of 26 years from 1975 to 2000.
At the start of the period, the popularity of pizza and hamburgers were recorded low among the youngsters of Australia. While teenagers liked having fish and chips in the year 1975, their interests slightly dropped by the year 1980 and at the same time, the pizza and hamburgers started peaking the market. For the year 1985, both hamburgers and fish and chips had a similar amount of sales followed by a decline in the sales of fish and chips, on the contrary hamburgers steadily held its market.
The amount of pizza and hamburgers consumed followed a similar trend but hamburgers were always selling more than pizza. The consumption of pizza remained constant slightly over 80 from the year 1995 till 2000.
Overall, the food intake has increased by the end of 2000. Although, fish and chips were most popular initially, its market share failed by the end with a fluctuation near the beginning. Whereas, the sales of both pizza and hamburgers climbed touching the number 100.
