The line graph below shows changes in the amount of fast food eaten by teenagers from Australia for 1975 to 2000.

The lines on the graph illustrate the variations in the quantity of given fast foods relished by the youngsters from Australia from 1975 for a quarter century.

To begin with, it can be clearly observed that fish and chips were preferred by a majority of teenagers in the year 1975 being eaten as many as 100 times per year. However, after fluctuating for a period of 10 years until 1985 the consumption of fish and chips declined constantly and reached around 40 times per year over a duration of 25 years.

On the contrary, the pizza and hamburgers were the least favorites among the youths of Australia as their intake was less than 20 times per year in 1975. It is remarkable to note that the liking for hamburgers showed a drastic rise as it reached more than 80 times per year consumption in the year 1985 and continuously rose in the following years becoming the highest consumed fast food in 2000 by being eaten 100 times in a year. The demand for pizza increased to about 30 times per year in 1985 after which it surged high constantly up to 1995 where it became more than 80 times a year and remaining constant henceforth until 2000.

Thus, it can be concluded from the above line graph that fish and chips which were a craze among Australian youngsters in 1975 became less popular in the span of 25 years. As a direct contrast to this, pizza and hamburgers showed an increase in demand over the given period with hamburgers becoming the favorite fast food of youth from Australia in the year 2000.
