The line graph shows the data about the expenditure on the basic of income on food, education and entertainment. Overall , we can see that, preference on these items varies according to the economic status.
It is clear from the graph that, poor people in the United Kingdom spend almost 70% of their income on food whereas, it gradually declining among middle and the richest income groups. There are around 5 to 25% of the poorest people's earnings consumed for the entertainment purpose, but in the case of middle class the percentage gradually drops to almost 15% and it surpasses all other categories when it reaches the richest income group.
Initially, education is the least preferred expense among poor UK people, however, it surpassed the entertainment expenditure. Almost 2 -30% spend on education. With regards to middle and the richest income nationalities in UK spend on education continue to decrease , 30-28% and 28-12% respectively.
In conclusion, although the highest percentage of income consumed on food by the lower economic people in UK compared to other two categories, it is least opt by the richest people.
