The given map includes two smaller maps which illustrate how Stokeford village changed during the period of time between 1930 and 2010.
Overall, while River Stoke and the main road in this locale remained the same, the farmland underwent a massive residential development.
In 1930, the village consisted mostly of farmland with just a few houses, a small primary school, two shops and a post office. To the east of the village there was a large house surrounded by gardens.
By 2010 the village had changed considerably due to an increase in local population and therefore, more housing was provided. Houses were added all along the main road, replacing the former shops; additional roads were constructed from the main road. The farmland once situated next to the river had completely disappeared, making way for more residences. The primary school was extended, and the large house was converted into a retirement home with its smaller gardens. To the north of the village the bridge built over the main road and River Stoke stayed unchanged.
