The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

The maps demonstrate the center of a small town, namely Islip at the present and how this place will be changed in the future.

It is obvious from the maps that there will be a number of innovations in this area such as the constructions of the bus station and the new housing.

Presently, in the southwest and the southeast of the town, there is a school and a park respectively. Besides, there are two areas of housing, one is in the middle and another is in the south of the city. Following the planed development, the park will be narrowed, the school will be still remained and then a dual carriageway will be constructed in order to connect these places. Moreover, a part of the housing located near the shop will become smaller and lead to the erection of a new housing.

As we can see on the design, in the north of the town, the countryside will disappear and the shops beside the countryside will be turned down to make a way for the bus station, the shopping center, the car park and the new housing. Additionally, in the middle of the town, the main road will be expanded and converted into the pedestrians only. But the shop in the south of the main road will not be demolished or converted as the other one. One more noticed point that all new places will be connected by the dual carriageway so that people can access to these places easily.
