The two maps illustrate the design of Islip town centre before and after the development. The map above is of the current town, while the below is the future plan of it.
Overall, various advancements will be carried out in this town. Thoroughly, the city will lay ring road replaced for the main road, structure new houses as well as a shopping mall and diminish the area of the park.
In the first blueprint, we can see that the main road is surrounded by two rows of small shops. There is the countryside in the north of the town, while in the south are the housing estates and facilities such as a large park and school.
The second one provides a planning city with dual carriageway occupied the major of city. The main road will prohibit any means of transport except walking. In northern side of the road, a shopping mall will be built along with a bus station and a car park. Two more housing estates will be established in eastern part of the town.
