The maps below show the centre of a small town called Islip as it is now, and plans for its development.

The first map illustrates how existing Islip town centre and the second indicates the planned development.
Overall, the town centre is predicted that will have more spots. Likewise, some locations will be deleted and replaced in the future.
At present, the space of shops is divided into two parts and designed along the main road similarly. The northern is countryside whereas the south start from main road is housing. Besides the main road, there are two road for vehicle, one is entry to the park as well as one is arrived at school.
According to the plan, the circular carriageway will be designed to surround the town centre, main road will be demolished as well as replaced by pedestrian’s footpath, the area will open for bus station, shopping centre, car park and shops. A new housing will establish next to the car park as well as the second will place near to the narrowed park. Eventually, while almost all facilities will be changed in the developed plan, park and school with housing which places at the end of the south will be kept as original and they will be linked with carriageway to move easily.
