The maps below show the changes that have taken place at the waterfont area of a town calles Darwin between 2009 and 2014.
The maps Illustrate the development of the waterfront area of a town called Darwin from 2009 to 2014.
It is evident that the area underwent significant redevelopment, notably the replacement of industrial areas to other facilities and the addition of a new harbor and various residential buildings.
Over the course of 5 years the 2 industrial areas in the center of the waterfront were demolished. The smaller industrial zone, surrounded by a footpath, was replaced with a swimming pool. The larger one, after being removed, made room for various trees and a university. In addition, the residential areas inside the old industrial zone also expanded with an addition of 3 more buildings. In the South East bank, there was an installation of a new harbor. Along with the appearance of the harbor, a footpath was built from the main road which crossed the green space, providing access to the new harbor.
Regarding other facilities they remained unchanged over the period. The school, convention center, fishing area in the north along with the lake and 2 swimming pools nearby stayed the same.
