The picture illustrates the development of Langley town within a forty-year period from between 1910 and 1950.
Overall, on the North of Sherman street the factory and wasteland was replaced by Sherman Mansions while on the South park was developed. Moreover, Flats had been contructed inplace of Townhouses next to Jordan Street.
In 1910, on the right and left hand side of the Jordan Street Townhouses was there for citizens. Where as, to the North of Sherman Street Factory was Factory and on the East of it there was Wasteland, Store and Laundry. Moreover, on the Southren side of Sherman Street there was wasteland and Cottages for Railway workers.
However, there was significant development was there in 1950. In the West ofJodan Street Flats had been developed and Townhouses was demolished. In addition, In the North of Sherman Street Factory had been replaced by Sherman Mansions where as Laundry had been shifted towards North in place of wasteland and Cafe was opened on that place. Albeit Store was completely removed. Furthermore, To the South of Sherman Street Sheran Park was opened with special play area for children. In additon, new stoes were opened on the East of park where few cottages were there.
