The maps below show the village of Stokeford in 1930 and in 2010. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features and make comparisons where relevant.

The maps present the transformation of Stokeford area over 80 years from 1930 to 2010. Overall, all the lands which had been used for farming were replaced with residential houses and a lot of branches were developed from the small path in this village.

To the north of the map, the bridge, the primary school, and the post office still remained in the old location. However, those shops were on the left side of the post office and the farmland locating in the eastern north of the map were converted into residential buildings. In 2010, two large houses were built next to the primary school.

To the rest of the map, in 1930 when Stokeford hardly saw any residential houses here are now filled with a lot of those. The land used for farming purposes in this side also had been destroyed as the farm in the north of the map. In 2010, a retirement house was built on the site where gardens used to be. Besides, the biggest tree in this garden had been cut out to be redesigned as residential areas.
