The table below illustrates the proportion of people working in agriculture , manufacturing and services in 7 European countries in 2014, including UK, Czech Republic, Greece, Ukraine, France Romania and Germany.
Generally speaking, while people working in services sectors accounted for the biggest proportion, the figure varied significantly from 83.5% in UK to 43.9% in Romania.
The second largest group of employees worked in manufacturing sectors, ranging from 15.2% in UK to 37.4% in Czech Republic with a comparatively slight variation.
However, it is notable that Romania was the only countries where there are more people working in agriculture than in manufacturing, with a proportion of 28.2% and 27.9% respectively. When it comes to other countries, the percentage of agricultural workers provided the smallest part. The figure in Romania, as mentioned above, was relatively the highest, while in UK, Germany and France, the percentage were approximately the same, reaching 1.3%, 1.6%, 1.7% respectively.
In conclusion, most people in these countries dedicated themselves in services sector, while least people worked in agriculture.
