The picture given illustrates the structure of a hot air balloon and the way it works.
It is evident from the picture that the envelope is the biggest part of a hot air balloon. Additionally, the mixture of propane and air is used as fuel to make flame.
Regarding the basket, which is connected with the envelope by a rope, there is a burner above it, whereas the propane cylinder which contains fuel to produce flame is inside the basket. When flame is made, it can render the air inside the envelope hotter, making the hot air balloon fly owing to the fact that the hot air is lighter compared to the heavy cold air in the atmosphere.
In terms of the envelope, it is clear that the rope is attached to a part called the skirt. Similarly, along the envelope, there are panels and gores making it to function properly. In addition, the parachute valve on the top of the envelope is utilized as a self-sealing flap that allows hot air to escape a controlled rate and helps pilots manage the hot air balloon.
