Looking at the line graph, it is immediately apparent that there was an increase in using renewable energy in each country over the period shown. Moreover, Finland was a country that used this energy the most.
In 1971, the proportion of renewable energy using by Finland was highest, at approximately 25%. While the figures for Denmark, France, Germany, and the USA were much lower, at 15%, 8%, 5%, and 3%, respectively. On the other hand, the percentage for using renewable energy in the UK was lowest, at about 1%
Between 1976 and 1986, the percentage of using renewable energy in Finland and Denmark decreased to 16% and 10%. By contrast, the figures for the USA and the UK increasing to 7% and 3%. Meanwhile, there were no significant changes in the consumption of renewable energy in France and Germany.
By 2011, the percentage of renewable energy using by Finland had risen to 24%. The figure for Denmark had increased to 17%, compared to 14% in France, 13% in Germany, and 6% in the UK. Meanwhile, this number in the USA had dramatically increased to 17% in 2011.
