The pie chart below shows the comparison of different kinds of energy production of France in two years.

The pie chart illustrates the difference in the various ways of energy generation within France during 1995 and 2005. There has been a dramatic decrease in production with Petro in contrast to increase in the remaining categories specified.

Sources other than Gas, coal, petro and nuclear have seen a maximum rise in percentage from 4.90% in 1995 to 9.10% in 2005. There is also a significant increase in the usage of Nuclear sources for production of energy from 6.90% in 1995 to 10.10% in 2005. On the other hand, there is only a small increase in the usage of coal and gas from 29.63% to 30.91% and 29.80% to 30.93% respectively.

Opposing this trend is petro where there is a significant drop from 29.27% to 19.90% from 1995 to 2005. Due to this drop, it can be interpreted that combined usage of gas and petro has fallen from around 60% to slightly under 50%.
