The pie chart below shows the main reason why agricultural land become less productive. The table shows how these causes affected three regions of the world during the 1990.
The first circular representation reveals the information about land degradation through distinct genesis, and the second tabular representations illustrate the percentum of three region land that got degraded due to several causes in 1990. It is a clear and coherent representation.
It is lucid, all over the planet there are number of causes for land degradation such as: Over-cultivation, Overgrazing, Deforestation and Other. Due to excess of overgrazing more than one third (35%) land got affected while 30% land was unproductive due to cutting of trees. However, 28% land degraded by over-cultivation, and a meagre of land demolish from other reasons.
Moving ahed, it is clear in North America just a 5% land was barren by over-cultivation, deforestation and overgrazing 3.3%,0.2% and 1.5% repectively. In Euorpe maximum land (23%) was downgrading through these reason: 9.8% deforestation ,7.7% over-cultivation and 5.5% overgrazing. At last in Oceania overall 13% land degraded, and the drastic cause for barren land which was overgrazing(11.3%), it was more than as compared to two other causes.
Overall, it is clearly seen that all over the land overgrazing was major reason of unproductive land wheras maximum land degraded in Europe as compare to the other nation.
