The pie charts compare the patterns of domestic expenditures between Japan and Malaysia in the year 2010.
Overall, in both countries, Food, housing and other goods and services held the largest part of the total expenditures whereas expenditure on health care was the lowest subject.
In Malaysia, 34% of housing was used, which was much higher than that in Japan, at 21 %. While other goods and services in Japan took up the lion's share of the total expenditures, at 29%, this was slightly more than in Malaysia. In term of food, the figures for both countries were approximately similar, at 27% and 24% for Japan and Malaysia, respectively.
The proportion of Health care in Japan was doubled than that in Malaysia, 6% compared to 3%. The figure for transport in Malaysia was half of that for Japan, 10% compared to 20%.
