Essay topics:

The pie charts compare ways of accessing the news in Canada and Australia. Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The pie charts present the proportions in four major methods that people in Canada and Australia use to access news, including TV, radio, print and online.

It can be seen from the two charts that most Canadian and Australian citizens gain the latest information from television and the Internet. However, the Australian tend to make far greater use of online access to news than the Canadian do.

One of the most prominent features in the two charts is that both television and the Internet are the most popular sources of news. While both television and the Internet in Canada constitute nearly the same fraction in the percentage of people use, which is 40% and 36% respectively, in Australia, online is the most popular way to access news, which makes up for 52% and the second is television, which is 37%.

In terms of print products, the use of the Canadian to acquire information is about twice as much as that of the Australian, which is 14% compared with 7%. Radio and other ways in Australia are also considerably less than Canada, which is 2%, compared with 7% and 2%, compared with 3% respectively.
