The plans below show the layout of a university's sports centre now, and how it will look after redevelopment.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

The two pictures illustrate the design of a modern university's sports centre and the blueprint for its future renovation programme. Overall, the main building located at the centre of the picture will be expanded, and the two outdoor courts will also be removed for the expansion of the facilities.

Nowadays, the sports centre building contains a 25-meter swimming pool, surrounded by the gym, seating, and changing rooms. The entrance of it faces south. Once students enter the building, they can find reception desks right in front of them and then enjoy the abovementioned indoor activities. On both the east side and the west side of the building exist outdoor courts which can be used for other types of exercises.

After the refurbishment, it is projected that the sports centre will no longer provide outdoor facilities. The east outdoor courts will be replaced by a leisure pool while the west ones will be demolished for the sports hall and two dance studios. The centre of the original building, namely the 25-meter pool will remain unchanged, so will the changing rooms and seating. On the other hand, the gym will be expanded to connect the dance studios, and several store and facilities will be added, including a sports shop, a café, and two new changing rooms, all of which will be established in the south of the building.
