The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the samepark today.
The plans show the alterations took place in Grange Park from 1920 to present.
Overall, by comparing the two plans we can be aware that the public park has witnessed significant changes throughout the period which include replacement of some buildings with entertainment places, removing some facilities and adding new ones. However, there are some exceptions untouched entrances for example.
In 1920, there was a fountain in the middle of the park with a stage for musicians on the left side of it. In the north-east part of the park a big pond was available for water plants. By 1920 there had been three rose gardens in the different side of the park with some seats for people. Two entrances were also constructed for the Arnold Avenue in the north and for the Eldon Street in the south. While entering from the Eldon Street there was a glasshouse with seats.
Looking at the current layout of the park considerable changes can be seen compared to the past. The fountain has been replaced with a rose garden with sitting place around it. Furthermore, large amphitheatre has been built in place of the stage. In the northeast side of the park one of the rose garden and the pond has been replaced with cafe and play area for children respectively. Water feature has been added instead of the glasshouse with extra entrance and underground car park in the southeast of the park. Other two main entrances have remained without alterations along with one rose garden which is situated in the northwest side of the Grange Park.
