Types of property crime in the UK, 2002.
The line graph reveals information on the percentage of crime rate among different ages while the pie chart illustrates the proportion of property crime in the UK by the year 2002. Unit are measured in percent (%).
It is clear from the line graph that the figure for people aged 20 appeared to be by far the largest one, with 80% which was followed by the corresponding figures of people aged 16 and those aged 24, with 70% and 60%, respectively. Nevertheless, the population aged 0 - 12 seemed to be an age group having the lowest rate of commiting crime, with just under 5%.
It is interesting to note that the figure for crime rate decreased gradually when people got older. In fact, the figure for people aged 28 was witnessed to be 20%, then it continued its downard trend to under 10% by the age of 60.
Turning to the pie chart, there was a significant difference in the proportion of property crime rate in 2002. Actually, the figure for violent crime made up the higest one among these crime, with 48% which was followed by that of property crime and drug crime, consituting 23% and 22%, in that order. By contrast, the figure for public order crime stood at the lowest level, with just 9%.
