Spending on Public Transport per week by age, UK, 2003
The bar chart reveals information on the amount of money spending on public transport among five selected age groups in the UK by the year 2003. Unist are measured in pounds sterling.
From an overall perspective, there was a significant difference in the consumption of different means of transport by Bristish in 2003. In fact, the figure for people aged under 30 using Taxis appreared to be by far the largest one, with over 6 pounds sterling per week which was followed by the corresponding figures of people aged 30 - 30 and those aged 50 - 65, with almost 6 pounds sterling per week and approximately 5.8 pounds sterling per week, respectively.
Remarkably, the figure for British people aged 30 - 50 stood using Bus stood at the highest level, with roughly 2 pounds sterling per week which was folloews by that of people aged under 30 and those aged 50 - 65. Actually, these figures were found to be about 1.8 pounds sterling and around 1.6 pounds sterling per week, in that order. Conversely, the figure for Bristish people aged over 75 taking public transport was witnessed to be the lowest one, with nearlt 1.7 pounds sterling per week by Taxis and just over 0.5 pounds sterling per week by Bus.
It is interesting to note that the figure fo Bristish people travelling by Rail ranged from around 0.5 pounds sterling per week to almost 4 pounds sterling per week. Overall, the figure for people aged under 30 using public transport was significantly higher than that of their counterparts in the vast majority of age groups.
