Some individuals dilemma that whether hosting an international sports event will bring more advantages for their country. In my view, an international event has more harm than it’s benefits.
On the one hand, international sports events help dwellers to exercise more and develop the economy of the country. Firstly, when people see athletes and so on take part in sport events, they tend to do exercise to become like that. This way helps improve their health in the long term. Secondly, the economy of that country will increase. It is easy to explain that an international event will be launched on the internet or tv programs. It helps this country become a tourist attraction and improve profits from the service field. For example, “olympic game” attracted millions of visitors when it was hosted.
On the other hand, sports events which were built for athletes in the world can have many drawbacks. The first one is that just many sectors make money from this occasion. Meanwhile, the government has to spend a huge amount of money to decorate for this event. Instead of using that money for a lot of events like that, they should upgrade infrastructure. It helps increase living standards. The other disadvantage associated with the environment. Visitors who come to watch those events can do littering. This affects the environment seriously, especially air pollution and air pollution. For instance, it is easy to see some bottles and jars at the end of the event.
In conclusion, although hosting an international sports event has many certain advantages, I think it is not a good idea.
