The table and the bar chart below give information about travelling to work in Houston, Texas.

The table illustrates the percentage of commuters using each means of transport to work and their average age in Houston, Texas. The bar chart shows the amount of CO2 emitted per person per kilometre caused by various forms of transport.

In general, people driving alone are the most methods of transports while cycling and walk are the least popular ones. Cyclists and pedestrians cause the least amount of pollution in contrast to people driving automobiles to work.

As is presented in the table, cars are the most popular vehicle, preferred by 48% of persons. This is followed by public transport at 37%. On the contrary, only 4% of travellers cycle or walk to work. Nevertheless, the average age of commuters is quite similar to others. People travelling by train or bus have the highest average age with 47. The youngest group are the traveller who enjoys walking or cycling at 39 on average.

Now, turning to the bar chart, the CO2 emissions from car drivers without passengers reach a peak of about 0.35kg. Also, people going together by car are the second most CO2 emissions at about 0.1 kilograms. On the other hand, cycling or walking hit the lowest point with 0-kilogram CO2 emissions. Besides, trains or buses have roughly 0.01 kilograms per person per kilometre.
