The table illustrates the information about underground railway systems regarding opening date, kilometers of route covered and passenger every year in six different cities.
Overall, the beginning of underground railway system was first occurred in London and also, it covered the maximum routes on comparing to all. However, the proportion of passengers was the highest in Tokyo whereas the least was of Los Angeles.
Underground railway system inaugurated in London in 1863 with covering 394 routes, being the maximum route covererage city, and carrying out 775 passengers per million every year. Whilst, Paris covered approximately half of the routes than London, however, Kyoto only covered 11 routes, being the lowest in this.
Similarly, Tokyo opened their railway system in 1972 and became the largest passenger covering railway system, wheras, Washington DC started their railways at 1976, covered only 126 routes and carried 144 passengers every year.likewise, Kyoto covered 11 routes and carried 45 passengers had the least contribution in this. Los Angeles opened their railway system in 2001 and covered 28 routes and carried only 50 passengers .
