The table below show data about consumer expenditure on the different categories in five nations in 2002. These are Ireland, Italy, Spain, Sweden and Turkey.

It is explicit that food, drinks and Tobacco amounts the highest proportion in the spending trend by the consumers. On the contrary leisure and education just expressed the small percentages in consuming.

Firstly, in the first column describes about the qualities of food, drinks and Tobacco consuming, Turkey achieved the highest with 32.4%. Compare to Turkey, expenditure in Sweden reached a half approximately 15.77%.

Secondly, Italy stayed in long distance with the other countries around 9.00%. Following back with the amounts almost the same were Turkey (6.63%), Spain (6.51%) and Ireland (6.43%). Repeating again Sweden stood on the shortest place with 5.40%.

Thirdly, the smallest percentage belongs to Spain equivalent 1.98% on consuming for leisure and education. Particularly, resembling to Sweden, Turkey the second time developed to achieve the highest with 4.35% which is rise almost 2.35% to Spain’s.
