The table below shows the average band scores for students from 4 different countries taking the IELTS Test in 2009.

The table represents the average ielts band scores which students from Germany, France, Vietnam and Malaysia received in the test they took in 2009
Overall, Speaking was the best skill of students in four countries in the ielts test in 2009. It is clear that while German students scored the highest point in listening, writing and speaking skill, Students from Malaysia achieved the highest band scores in reading skill.
It can be seen from the table that while German students scored 6.7 overall, Malaysia students only got 6.4. Also, students from both German and Malaysia had the highest speaking skill scores of 6.9 and 6.8 respectively. Reading was the weakest skill of German students with only 6.3. By contrast, Malaysian students had the lowest score in writing
Turning to the two other countries: Vietnam and France. French students got overall score of 6.5 while overall score of 6.3 was belonged to Vietnamese students. Reading and listening were the skills that French and Vietnamese students had the same score. In writing skills, Students from France were much better than Vietnamese students (6.5 in comparison with 6.2)
