Overall, it can be seen that, the expenses are bifurcated into 6 categories which are food, electricity and water, clothing, housing, transport and miscellaneous goods. The overall expenditure increased in 2001.
To begin with, the increase in investment for food and housing was evidently similar which was $5 monthly more than $155 which was in the year 1991. While, there was dramatic raise in the cost of electricity and water in the year 2001 by $55 making it $120 per month.
Moreover, the opposite was seen in the clothing and transportation category as the amount spent was drastically reduced to $20 and $45 respectively. However, the insignificant goods and services were raised more to average $270 monthly. The final budget was thereby increased from $675 to $715 monthly in the year 2001.
