The table illustrates the information regarding poverty of Australia in which various family groups were involved in 1999

At a first glance, solo parents were leading with highest proportion of poverty, that is 21%(232000). While lowest ratio of poverty which is 4%(48000) was achieved by aged couple family. Tha total poverty level of all households is 11%(1837000) as compare to total families.

Talking about other families, Single aged and without child couple had nearly same ratio of poverty that is 6% and 7% respectively, other remaining 19% single people were living under neediness whereas couple with children had lived under poverty and the ratio is nearly one tenth.
