Local people in Adelaide and Perth only have to pay ($0.42) per kiloliter if they use less than 125KL, roughly half of the price for those of other cities. However, if they use surpassed 125KL, the cost nearly doubles ($1.00) in Adelaide or almost triples ($1.50) in Perth. Residents in Melbourne and Sydney pay the same amount of money,($0.78) aand ($0.98) respectively, regardless of how much water they use. Brisbane's residents only pay ($0.03) more if thay use more than 125KL.

In general, people residing in Perth had the highest water costs, at ($332), far exceeding the figure for Sydney ($319), Adelaide ($312) and Brisbane ($310). Household expenditure on water consumption in Melbourne was just ($253), the smallest amount recorded among the five cities.
